Insurance Payments

Information about how to make payments on your insurance policies.

As your insurance broker, we help you find the best coverage. Payments are made directly to your insurance carrier.

How Insurance Payments Work

As an independent insurance brokerage, TOP Insurance helps you find and manage the best coverage from multiple carriers. However, premium payments are made directly to your insurance carrier, not to our office.

Your insurance carrier handles all billing, payment processing, and account management. You can find your carrier's payment information on your declarations page, billing statement, or insurance card.

Not sure who your carrier is or how to pay? Contact us and we will help you identify your carrier and guide you through the payment process.

Common Payment Methods

Most insurance carriers accept payments through the following methods. Check with your specific carrier for available options.

Online Portal

Most insurance carriers offer secure online portals where you can log in, view your balance, and make payments anytime. This is the fastest and most convenient way to pay.

How to Pay

  1. 1Visit your insurance carrier's website
  2. 2Log in to your account or register as a new user
  3. 3Navigate to the billing or payments section
  4. 4Enter your payment information and submit

Pay by Phone

Call your insurance carrier's billing department directly to make a payment over the phone. Have your policy number and payment method ready when you call.

How to Pay

  1. 1Locate your carrier's billing phone number on your statement
  2. 2Call during business hours for live agent assistance
  3. 3Provide your policy number for verification
  4. 4Complete your payment with a debit card, credit card, or bank account

Pay by Mail

Send a check or money order to your insurance carrier using the payment address on your billing statement. Be sure to include your policy number on the payment.

How to Pay

  1. 1Write a check or obtain a money order
  2. 2Include your policy number on the memo line
  3. 3Mail to the payment address on your billing statement
  4. 4Allow 7 to 10 business days for processing

Automatic Payments (Auto-Pay)

Set up automatic payments through your carrier's portal or by contacting them directly. Auto-pay ensures you never miss a payment and may qualify you for a discount.

How to Pay

  1. 1Log in to your carrier's online portal
  2. 2Navigate to billing preferences or auto-pay settings
  3. 3Enter your bank account or card information
  4. 4Choose your preferred payment date and frequency

Payment Tips

Pay on Time

Late payments can result in policy cancellation or a lapse in coverage. Set calendar reminders or enroll in auto-pay to stay current.

Pay in Full for Savings

Many carriers offer a discount when you pay your full premium upfront rather than in monthly installments. Ask us about pay-in-full discounts.

Keep Records

Save confirmation numbers and receipts for all payments. This documentation can be helpful if there are ever questions about your payment history.

Go Paperless

Sign up for electronic billing statements and email notifications. You will receive payment reminders and can access your billing history online.

Review Your Statements

Check each billing statement for accuracy. If your premium changed unexpectedly, contact us so we can review your policy and explain any adjustments.

Avoid Coverage Lapses

If your policy cancels due to non-payment, you may face higher rates when you reinstate or get new coverage. Contact us immediately if you are having trouble making a payment.
